“As you put into practice the qualities of patience, punctuality, sincerity, and solicitude, you will have a better opinion of the world around you”...

“As you put into practice the qualities of patience, punctuality, sincerity, and solicitude, you will have a better opinion of the world around you”;Grenville Kleiser ( American author 1868-1953).

Punctuality.......

Yesterday had a meeting with my Prof. It supposed to be at sharp 2.00pm. But as usual, u know student.... we just start to move in at 2.03pm. So the meeting starts at 2.20pm. He highlighted the issue about being puntual. Felt the sharp poking in my ears. Argghhh..... but what he says..is TRUE. I agree to it and know about it, but the question here is " Are we practicing it?"

Me, especially are poor in punctuality. Most of the time, people have to wait for me. Ashamed yet it is the truth. Punctual is not only an habit but it is a lifestyle. Do you know why i consider myself for not being punctual? Continue reading...

"I will put my alarm at 6.30 am but only wakes up at 8.00am. Then i will plan for things but somehow it will be 10-20 mins delay. Even for lunch, i will ask my friends to wait for 5 min to complete my task, but it will take more than tht. I will say i will reach my destination in 2 min time on the phone and i will somehow take 20 min to reach there...( i felt bad writing this but it happen in my life... i don't want to cheat in my blog...i admit my mistake and I will try to improve..it is life anyway)". I don't know how to estimate time actually. I tend to neglect about the delays and problem tht might occur. For example, let say i wants to reach KL, i will estimate 20 minutes from my place. I neglect the issue of being stuck in jam or rainy days. So i supposed to say 40mins instead of saying 20min.

I think i should practice being more PUNCTUAL... come lets change our old habits...Starts with Alarm clock first.... set at 6.30 am means..wake up at 6.30 am....hee.hee.heee:)

Gossips....shhh!!!!!!!

Gossip.. I'm sick of it!!! Recently, i encountered so many unwanted experiences because of this. This person gossip about this particular person, and tht person gossip about  this person....goshh!!! And basically i'm literally involve in it. I think this the problem tht arise when too many girls in working environment ( sorry girls...but this is the truth).  News among girls spread so fast. And it actually affect the whole working environment usually. Sometimes the gossips is not true but yet people would be talking about it.
How to avoid gossip? Easy. Just follow this....

  1. When u see more than 2 girl talking in a small group especially like whispering type.......PLS AVOID THE GROUP. MOVE UR BUTT TO OTHER PLACE!!!! ( if possible, don't even look at them)
  2. If people ask anything about other people business..... just shook ur head left and right.
  3. List down your true "SAFE" friend. A friend tht u can open up and share ur problems and dissatisfaction. ONLY share things with this SAFE friend.
  4. Don't talk about others when the person not around.
  5. When people talk about others story... just interrupt and say " Hmmm...i don't know laa...none of  our business also..." make sure u smile widely after this statement if not next gossip will be about u.!
  6. This one is important ones; When people tell u stories just listen..... don't act smart by going and telling the people involved to conform the truth of the story.

Festive of Light:)

Deepavali is just around the corner. To be specific left only 3 days. My shopping still haven't settle yet. So, decided to go for shopping at KL. Since KL hv Deepavali Bazaar, so i and friend decided to go there for shopping. Basically, we were 2 indian girls and 3 Chinese girls. Driving there is much easier compared to find a parking lot. After going through all the hassle, we parked the car at the road side ( Thanks for Mr. Police for not giving us summon).

Once we reached there, the festive mood just bloom like that. So many people on the street. A lot of stall were set along the road. Policemen on duty were controlling the crowd..... The loud latest Tamil song, Enthiran was played again and again. The environment was soo busy, colourful and of course HAPPENING...

We were hungry so we randomly went to a restaurant. While we were busy eating, a lady with 2 kids walk towards us. She ask for money. I looked at her... she was about 35 years and her children was about 2 and  years old. I just donate some money to her without thinking much. She just smile to me... and wish me " Happy Deepavalli". She say tht her children was pity for not being able to celebrate Deepavalli. I kept quiet and continue with my dinner. I felt touch with her words. We sometimes tend to spend a lot for just 1 day celebration without realizing that there are still people around us who didn't have a chance to taste good food. I wish i can spread the divine love to everyone. Wish i can light the smile on everyone's face on this festival of light.

After tht, we quickly rush to all the shops. We hunt for beautiful punjabi suits. We shop and shop and shop. It was about 11.20pm. Then i realised...OUCH!!!! I and my indian friend didn't buy anything, my beloved Chinese friends are the one really excited and busy trying outfit. They bought about 4 suits. I felt tired already. Do u think we stop there? Nop!!! We go for a break. Hot tea really helps to retrieve my energy. Hee..hee.heee. ( although the tea is so light...but yet i finished it up). Then we continue the mission again.

When we go back, it was almost midnight...shhhhh. So late but there are still a lot of people shopping. I think it was first time shopping with friend until so late ( sorry amma!!).
Although tiring but yet happy and satisfied. I felt satisfied when i spend my time to choose the best outfit for my friends. I just love when i give my love to people around me. Giving is more valuable than receiving. I didn't manage to buy anything for myself but still i feel happy.

Spreading Love on this festival season,
Love always,
Revathee

Uncle..oh...uncle:D

In this blog, i just want to share my experience i had today.... so if u are an old man....pls DON'T get offended. It is just my bad time to meet this funny creature. When we mention the word "UNCLE", what comes into our mind???? An old man who aged around 40+++. I hate when old man try to act cute in front of girls... I just feel like punching their face.
I'm staying in an apartment where we have security guards. Two weeks ago, i noticed that there was an Indian uncle who seems to be very helpful towards me and my friend. He always help us to get a parking lot and even let us to park in the visitors parking ( actually visitors parking are not for the resident, u got to leave ur license and IC there). At first, i didn't feel anything weird. But later, i started to notice him frequently. He make himself visible...by waving his hands when we past the guard house. Raising hand or shook our head while passing by guard house or security booth is a normal culture practice in Malaysia... but this is more than that. Imagine a person....quickly run outside the guard house just to see ur car and showing his entire teeth to u!!! This happen every time i pass by the guard house, in the morning and evening. My smart friend, Ong Hui Ming, always warn me about this Uncle. But i always don't take it serious, i thought she was just kidding with me. "I think he is looking at you...since u are chinese girl so he is concern about you" this is my answer to her every time she raise this issue.
But today's incident proven me wrong...Gosh!!! We parked our car in the parking lot as usual, suddenly from now where, this uncle walk towards our car. He starts his conversation with a bright smile. I try my best to cut the conversation short but it failed. He keep talking about my car..saying tht my car number plate is very lucky number. I just nod and try to walk away.... then suddenly he ask where i will be during Deepavalli. Oh my God!! " Klang" i answered him briefly... i try to walk faster to leave the place. " oh, i'm frm Klang too" he reply. Inside my heart, i'm already yelling...Who cares, UNCLE!! .. but i just dare not to say it out loud. I try my best not to react to his conversation. Suddenly, he reminds he tht his birthday is on 28 Oct... My friend, turn and look at me. I just smile and try my best to escape from that old man. I explain to my friend since she do not understand Tamil, she laughs.
I hope tht i will never see him on his birthday. I just wants to avoid him. I'm not sure whether i'm thinking too much or the uncle is a very friendly person indeed. Whatever the case, Uncle...u are an UNCLE!!! Please just treat me like a daughter nothing more... So irritating when old people try to disturb girls. Feeling so uncomfortable.......

Navarathiri....

Navarathiri just over. Yesterday was the 'Vijaya Dashami'. This pooja will be celebrated for 9 days and the 10th day will the "Vijaya Dashami".
I love everything about " Navarathiri"....... The celebration itself is so happening....temples will be decorated with neon bulbs, a lot of people in the temple, young cute girls wearing "pavada dress" and running around the temple, loud devotional songs playing in the temple, the colourful rangoli kolam in front of temples, beautiful decorated 'gollu' and of course the night food( prasadam ).
( Rangoli kolam)

( "Gollu")

The most intresting part of these pooja is the" Saraswathy Pooja". It is so cute to see the school children carry their text book to temple and arrange them neatly in of the Goddess Statue. They will close their eyes tight and make their long wish. Every year, the issue tht arises here is about the LOST BOOK... children sometimes forget to take back their books or accidentally brings back someone else book. Pity on the Gurukal and temple committee member's, they hv to keep remind the children about the books.
On the 10th day, it is believe tht the God had destroy the evil power (Mahisasuravarthan). The point to learn here is tht celebration is not just to enjoy. We should know how to implement tht in our life too. Navarathri celebration's motive is to cleanse our self from negative thoughts, action and intention. Hmmm.... i hope tht the negative values in me will be also destroyed. I hope to start a brand new life with positive attitude...no more lazziness...no more anger...
Navarathiri pooja is very close to my heart. I miss those days..where; i and my sister really look forward for Navarathri. We used to sing Classical song in the temple during Navarathri. I think we would be actively going for practice 1 month before the occasion. And both of us would be fighting to get new " pavada dress". It was so special kind of feeling when u wear your new 'pavada dress", siting right infront of God statue, and sing varanam. People patiently sit and listen to your song. A good experience for both of us.

Life:D

Have u ever seen night going?
The midnight and its song?
The sunrise and its beauty?
We are behaving almost like blind people..
In such a beautiful world, we are living in a small pond of our own misery,
Otherwise there is so much of joy all around us,
You just have to be aware of it and to be come a participant not a spectator.
Participate in the night leaving,
Participate in evening coming,
Participate in the stars,
Participate in the clouds,
Make participation in your lifestyle and whole
existence,
Enjoy every moment.... of life,
Beauty are around us only,
It is our mistake to be ignorant,
Count the blessings, and show your gratitude to GOD,
Learn, re-learn and unlearn again.
Life is beautiful.....:D

Oshh...... it already 1 week after my holiday from Penang. So much of things still in pending list. My little note book of THINGS TO BE DONE, showing me a long list.... i started my old habit ready...so shamed of myself. Cannot....... be like this.
Wake up...wake up...wake up.... no more holiday mood!!!!!..
Reva,
Stick to your positive attitude, don't procrastinate to do your work.. You have a long way to go to achieve our dreams. Don't let go your determination to achieve your dreams. Hurry up... pull up your socks!! Be little more discipline and do your duty. You are just like driving a car in a highway at the speed of 60 km/hr...... nop, you better change the gear and start to drive at 140km/hr..... if not you will be reaching your dream late...
So...the conclusion, work hard and smart.... time and tide waits for no one. It is been a blessing to get a chance to pursuit studies in this beatiful place... hope i will make full use of it.. Chia yok...Reva:)
