Uncle..oh...uncle:D

In this blog, i just want to share my experience i had today.... so if u are an old man....pls DON'T get offended. It is just my bad time to meet this funny creature. When we mention the word "UNCLE", what comes into our mind???? An old man who aged around 40+++. I hate when old man try to act cute in front of girls... I just feel like punching their face.
I'm staying in an apartment where we have security guards. Two weeks ago, i noticed that there was an Indian uncle who seems to be very helpful towards me and my friend. He always help us to get a parking lot and even let us to park in the visitors parking ( actually visitors parking are not for the resident, u got to leave ur license and IC there). At first, i didn't feel anything weird. But later, i started to notice him frequently. He make himself visible...by waving his hands when we past the guard house. Raising hand or shook our head while passing by guard house or security booth is a normal culture practice in Malaysia... but this is more than that. Imagine a person....quickly run outside the guard house just to see ur car and showing his entire teeth to u!!! This happen every time i pass by the guard house, in the morning and evening. My smart friend, Ong Hui Ming, always warn me about this Uncle. But i always don't take it serious, i thought she was just kidding with me. "I think he is looking at you...since u are chinese girl so he is concern about you" this is my answer to her every time she raise this issue.
But today's incident proven me wrong...Gosh!!! We parked our car in the parking lot as usual, suddenly from now where, this uncle walk towards our car. He starts his conversation with a bright smile. I try my best to cut the conversation short but it failed. He keep talking about my car..saying tht my car number plate is very lucky number. I just nod and try to walk away.... then suddenly he ask where i will be during Deepavalli. Oh my God!! " Klang" i answered him briefly... i try to walk faster to leave the place. " oh, i'm frm Klang too" he reply. Inside my heart, i'm already yelling...Who cares, UNCLE!! .. but i just dare not to say it out loud. I try my best not to react to his conversation. Suddenly, he reminds he tht his birthday is on 28 Oct... My friend, turn and look at me. I just smile and try my best to escape from that old man. I explain to my friend since she do not understand Tamil, she laughs.
I hope tht i will never see him on his birthday. I just wants to avoid him. I'm not sure whether i'm thinking too much or the uncle is a very friendly person indeed. Whatever the case, Uncle...u are an UNCLE!!! Please just treat me like a daughter nothing more... So irritating when old people try to disturb girls. Feeling so uncomfortable.......

Navarathiri....

Navarathiri just over. Yesterday was the 'Vijaya Dashami'. This pooja will be celebrated for 9 days and the 10th day will the "Vijaya Dashami".
I love everything about " Navarathiri"....... The celebration itself is so happening....temples will be decorated with neon bulbs, a lot of people in the temple, young cute girls wearing "pavada dress" and running around the temple, loud devotional songs playing in the temple, the colourful rangoli kolam in front of temples, beautiful decorated 'gollu' and of course the night food( prasadam ).
( Rangoli kolam)

( "Gollu")

The most intresting part of these pooja is the" Saraswathy Pooja". It is so cute to see the school children carry their text book to temple and arrange them neatly in of the Goddess Statue. They will close their eyes tight and make their long wish. Every year, the issue tht arises here is about the LOST BOOK... children sometimes forget to take back their books or accidentally brings back someone else book. Pity on the Gurukal and temple committee member's, they hv to keep remind the children about the books.
On the 10th day, it is believe tht the God had destroy the evil power (Mahisasuravarthan). The point to learn here is tht celebration is not just to enjoy. We should know how to implement tht in our life too. Navarathri celebration's motive is to cleanse our self from negative thoughts, action and intention. Hmmm.... i hope tht the negative values in me will be also destroyed. I hope to start a brand new life with positive attitude...no more lazziness...no more anger...
Navarathiri pooja is very close to my heart. I miss those days..where; i and my sister really look forward for Navarathri. We used to sing Classical song in the temple during Navarathri. I think we would be actively going for practice 1 month before the occasion. And both of us would be fighting to get new " pavada dress". It was so special kind of feeling when u wear your new 'pavada dress", siting right infront of God statue, and sing varanam. People patiently sit and listen to your song. A good experience for both of us.

Life:D

Have u ever seen night going?
The midnight and its song?
The sunrise and its beauty?
We are behaving almost like blind people..
In such a beautiful world, we are living in a small pond of our own misery,
Otherwise there is so much of joy all around us,
You just have to be aware of it and to be come a participant not a spectator.
Participate in the night leaving,
Participate in evening coming,
Participate in the stars,
Participate in the clouds,
Make participation in your lifestyle and whole
existence,
Enjoy every moment.... of life,
Beauty are around us only,
It is our mistake to be ignorant,
Count the blessings, and show your gratitude to GOD,
Learn, re-learn and unlearn again.
Life is beautiful.....:D

Wake up...wake up...wake up.... no more holiday mood!!!!!..
Reva,
Stick to your positive attitude, don't procrastinate to do your work.. You have a long way to go to achieve our dreams. Don't let go your determination to achieve your dreams. Hurry up... pull up your socks!! Be little more discipline and do your duty. You are just like driving a car in a highway at the speed of 60 km/hr...... nop, you better change the gear and start to drive at 140km/hr..... if not you will be reaching your dream late...
So...the conclusion, work hard and smart.... time and tide waits for no one. It is been a blessing to get a chance to pursuit studies in this beatiful place... hope i will make full use of it.. Chia yok...Reva:)

Spirituality...

Basically, this month, i learned a lot about spiritualism. I attended few courses to develop my inner self. I think i learn something new. The most intersting one was " THE ART OF LIVING". It was a 3 days course. It was founded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, The Art of Living is a not-for-profit, educational, and humanitarian NGO engaged in stress-management and service initiatives. The organization operates globally in 151 countries. The organization's activities are guided by Sri Sri’s philosophy of peace: “Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace.” To help individuals get rid of stress and experience inner peace, The Art of Living offers stress-elimination programs which include breathing techniques, meditation and yoga. These programs have helped millions around the world to overcome stress, depression, and violent tendencies. The Art of Living has spread peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects, including conflict resolution, disaster relief, sustainable rural development, empowerment of women, prisoner rehabilitation, education for all, and environmental sustainability.
Sudarshan Kriya breathing technique taught by them is very useful for me. I realised how important is our breath. It help me to remain calm and active. Actually body gets tired due to lack of oxygen supply to brain...now i can relate what i learn in my biology class during my Form 5. Continuos practice of this yoga, can cure sinus. I hope after this i can stop sneezing in the morning.
Hmmmm...... learning is always fun, but i hope tht i can put or implement them on my daily life. Nothing will happen if we didn't apply what we learn in our life. Everything need practice and discipline. Go..go...go...Revathee!!!

Malaysia Day...:)

16th September 1963, is a special day for all Malaysian. It is when Malaysia was formed. The Merdeka anniversary on August 31 to mark the nation’s Independence in 1957 is however not very meaningful to the people of Sabah and Sarawak. This is because it was September 16,1963 that Malaysia was formed with the union of Sabah and Sarawak with Malaya to establish a new federation ( this is what my History teacher thought me).Now it become more meaningful to us, coz it was a PUBLIC HOLIDAY!
Yes, this is typical Malaysian mentality. Most of us concern and celebrate for the holidays not for the reason. We are very happy not for the Malaysia's Day but for the holiday. This is the truth..... I am sure, still many out there enjoy their public holidays without even knowing why it was given. We just love public holidays. If it falls on Monday or Friday, then it is called perfect...
I hope people don't deny this truth.... Ok, tell me what u will do first when u got a new calendar for new year? First, u will check for your birthday...then ur beloved birthdays, then...check for Big celebration date...then of course for sure u will check for any other public days for tht year.... hmmmm... love holidayss..( Holidays are Jolly dayss...):)
Honestly i too love holidays. All of us have the right to enjoy our holidays. But at the same time, i just hope tht we understand the real purpose for the public holiday given. Malaysia's Day should be celebrated, at least by singing National Anthem or even by waving National's Flag. Then all of us can go on with our plans. By this, at least the Public Holiday given make worth!!!

"HAPPY MALAYSIA DAY!!! Love u, Malaysia:)"
