Acid Splash....

"Pls don't bully women....!!!".:(
I was very badly affected by the issue of acid splash which recently become the sensational news in Malaysia. Everyone are so familiar with the case, everyone are aware of the case.....but still we was not able to protect our innocent women.. (why police still haven't catch the criminals ?). A total of fifteen people, including eight pupils, two teachers, a parent and her two children, have fallen victim to the attacks so far.
Why this people.....choose women as their victim? What is their real motive? Hmm...... i think they should at least wait and see how much pain they cause to the innocent victim. At least let them decide whether they can accept it if their own mothers, sisters and daughters go through the same situation. I just cann't imagine the pain that strike the victims. I read the news where, one of the victim mentioned that she could feel a severe burning sensation and smelled smoke. Another article on newspaper which realy make me sad and encourage me to write this blog is about a teacher who been traumised after the acid splash incident. The incident happened just in front of her school.

""The incident keeps playing in my head like a broken record. I can't sleep well and when I do get some sleep, I end up waking in the middle of the night crying," said Ng, adding she also feels nervous whenever she hears the sound of a motorcycle."I dare not go out of my house or to the nearby store as I fear being attacked again."In the 7am incident on Friday morning, the acid splasher approached Ng from behind as she was passing SRJK Tamil Vivekananda near Jalan Sultan Abdul Samad to get to her school located in the same compound."I heard a motorcycle coming behind me and after it passed me, I realised a liquid had been splashed on my bag and my baju kurung. The liquid sipped in and I felt a burning sensation on my skin. It hurt so much I cried for help," said Ng. She was rushed to the school canteen by a couple who had just sent their children to school. At the canteen, Ng's wounds were cleaned before an ambulance arrived to take her to University Malaya Medical Centre.Due to the burns, Ng cannot wear normal clothes yet as it hurts whenever the fabric touches the wounds. She also needs to clean the wounds at least five times a day to avoid infection.
"I only use a towel to cover the upper part of my body as I am unable to wear any clothes, let alone a bra. It's so painful. My wounds still bleed and has puss."(source from The Malay Mail newspaper). Her last statement really tore my little heart apart.....

To all women out there....pls take care of yourself. Love yourself..Cherish every moment of your life...Your contribution is always needed to this society. You are a Daughter, Sister, Friend, Wife and most beautifully a Mother too.

1 Malaysia Engagement:)

One of my buddy, Aiyeen got engagement this Sunday. It was so special event...tht everyone keeps talking abt the event. Before i starts on, let me say..." Aiyeen , Congratulations!!! May the blessings be :)".
The ceremony starts at 11.30 am. But i went there early to snap good photo of her. The ceremony's theme colour was white and pink. I had to wear saree, cox i don't hv any other attire which have tht colour combination. Her engagement, was so lovely. There were Malays, Chinese and Indians. Everyone frm my lab attended the ceremony.
Usually, in Malays culture, engagement is a very simple ceremony...where only close relatives will attend. It is a simple event where the groom's mother will give ring to the bride. I felt lucky and touched when my dear friend invited us to be with her to share this happy moment. The groom's family arrived at 11.30 a.m. Guess what?? The groom's family is mixture of Malays and Indians. The groom's family theme colour was purple.
The combination of pink, white and purple..really gives a beautiful and sweet feeling. Oldies was busy discussing inside in the house, while other..were busy chit chatting outside the house. It was very cute, when prayers was held, Muslims..quickly put their hands together and pray...while Indians and Chinese..just kept quiet automatically. It was a pin drop silence at tht moment. Once prayers done, everyone continue back their stories..he he he he..

Sweet decoration...Love the Daisy:)

Happy Birthday, Mama:)

" I'm not acting strange..... i'm just reflecting.. on what you have given me". You have showed LOVE towards me, so it is my time to shower you with the act of kindness and love.

I have a person in my life, where i can make fun about, a person whom i can complaint, a person who thinks tht i'm a super duper good girl....( although i'm not, I'm a red horn devil sometimes), a person tht always comment on my dressing sense (he has good dressing sense, i trust his sense, and can follow blindly on his advise on fashion) and a person who proudly tell his wife tht I'm just like his elder daughter..... Wants to know who is this? Of course all my siblings and cousins who are reading this blog already guess the name correctly and should be grinning while reading this. It is not other than my Nathan mama.

Nathan mama is my uncle. He is my mum's youngest brother. We shares a special kind of bonding among ourselves.  It is not only me, but can be said the whole bunch of cousins. We are particularly more closed to him compared to my other uncles. This may be due to age gaps or maybe his modern thinking. I think may be cox he is living near to us, so the chances we meet are more compared to my other uncles.

His birthday was on 5th Mac. Last year, it happens tht, all of us including my mum forgot his birthday, Do u know how he reminds us about his birthday??? He just rang all of us personally on mobile, then sing a birthday song, right before we could open the mouth to wish him, he just put down the phone. Can u  imagine ? He did this not only to me, but the whole bunch of my cousins. Ha ha ha ha...... He is not 3 or 4 years old...but he is 38 years old uncle....

This year, all of us are more alert of his birthday. Even 1 week before the date, we already starts to remind each other about his birthday. We plan for a surprise birthday party. The plan was..... tell a lie, make him to come all the way from Puchong to Klang, drag him to a restaurant , when everyone was ready, let the waiter brings the cake, and....wat else? Sing a birthday song  and cut the cake. The most final thing to do..... ENJOY the Meal...:) Sounds easy right, but actually not tht easy....

Task 1: Tell a lie to him. Ok... what are you going to say? "Hmmm..... i need to talk to you about my future plans?" or " Tonight i have to go to my friend's party, can u pls come over to send me there?" or " Appa wants to see you urgently tonight". To cut the long story short, i somehow able to convince him to come to Klang.
Task 2:  Who else would be joining the party? Again i need to call everyone, to conform their arrival. After few call here and there, okey, it would be just 21 people.
Task 3: Food? Hmm...... what should i order? Since it is a suprised party, i need to reserve the food and table earlier.  This was the most difficult task. I worried tht i end up ordering lousy food. Anyway, thanks to the chef, he was so helpful in assisting my to get the order. Ops.... i had to order some vegetarian food as well, so again...so much of queries, to make sure tht the food was 100% vegetarian food.
Task 4: Birthday cake.. can u pls buy for me, Valar? I seriously running out of time. Time shows 7.00pm, i'm still haven't finish my shopping in Klang. My sis, gave me a hand on this mater. She help me to get a cake.
Overall, everything was arranged.

The time was running fast. Around 7.30pm, all the other family members starts to gather in home. Although we book the restaurant for 8.00pm, we as usual only reach there at 9.oo pm..ha ha ha ha ......We execute the plan. Had a good time together. Nathan mama was so touched. He was in tears. The last time he cut birthday cake was on his 21st birthday..... basically 17 years back. He was very happy. Once again, " Happy Birthday, mama. May the blessings be."

Crazy part of ME....

Friday, i was as usual on a happy mood. Excited to go back home. Missed badly my own bed...and of course my mum's cooking. Slurp.......... delicious!!!

3.30 pm: Hmmm....wat is time now? why is the    time moving so slow....?

4.30 pm: Still not yet times up to leave... :((

5.30 pm: Yeah!! Bingo!! Bye everyone...

6.30 pm: Rain cause bad traffic in Malaysia. All cars moves so slow. Worst are the female drivers, donno y need to put double signal.

8.00 pm: Put up a fight with amma..( i must be crazy...)

Friday 8.00pm- Monday 8.30 am- switch to angry mode. It means, my smile turns sour.....hardly speak to anyone, gets irritate for everything.....I was angry, for the reason.. i donno!!!
Feel so bad now. I seriously donno what had happen to me. I'm not the person who can put up a fight, all this while, i'm the great loser, i thought i cann't fight but this weekend i discovered.... a new talent in me.....
After all this great show, I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT IS THE REASON FOR THE BAD MOOD...

Happy Chinese New Year:)

I am supposed to write this blog earlier but due to some technical issues..... it was been in my draft for so long... Now, i think i better post this blog without further delay... Chinese New Year is not only celebrated by my chinese friend... but i am also involved in it... he he he .
Thanks to Hui Ming, Gan and Ching Woen. They gave me a great company and good photos too. Hui Ming as usual was looking cute like a Japanese girl (  hope she will ignore this line..), Gan was looking so different frm the last time i met her ( i met her about 3 years back) and Ching Woen, she still look the same (really appreciate the way she stay humble although frm US. I think people should learn frm her, just hates the way some pretend to forgot their own mother tongue after return frm oversea).
Hui Ming and Ching Woen came to fetch me to Gan's house. The cookies served was yummy.... really delicious. Was happy to get RED POCKET frm her mum. "Thanks, Aunty " for the ang pau. Then.............. i learned something new!!!! I learned how to play card...Thanks Hui Ming...to teach me how to gamble..he he he......(good friend only teach good things but great friend teach both, good and bad things..).
Then we went to Dong-Zen-Temple-FGS-Jenjarom. So beautiful temple. I was told tht it was famous only during Chinese New Year. They decorate the temple so creatively. Hats off to the team. It was more like a fantasy or fairy land rather than temple. So people out there, make sure you pay a visit on next chinese new year..and remember to bring along your camera. This year's theme was rabbit... I had a good time there. I hope tht all my prayers and wishes will be blessed by Buddha.

Once again, thanks for my lovely friends to share this happiness with me.:)

Annalakshmi...

Recently, i visited Annalakshmi Restaurant. I was so touched with the concept of the restaurant. Usually, Indian veg food are expensive compared to other economic rice..... the complete set of rice will cost you about RM6.00. But, these is not TRUE in Annalakshmi Restaurant.
"The food served in Annalakshmi are prepared with the care and love by homemakers - mothers, grandparents, sisters and brothers who are mostly voluntary staffs. This filial connection is what makes the concept of Annalakshmi, an unique one. You cannot put a price on the food prepared by a mother or a wife, and this is why at Annalakshmi you - eat as you like and pay as you feel."(http://compassionate-vegetarians.blogspot.com/2009/08/annalakshmi-restaurant.html)

The restaurant's interior design is good. Was beautifully decorated in a classical Indian culture. It can give us a calm feeling. I really admire the statue of Goddess Meenashki in the center of the restaurant. The food was delicious and the environment was relaxing, what else we wants more........ I don't mind paying extra for the food since the money is used for donation purposes.
